Ayman al-Zawahiri killed in US drone strike
The FBI’s one of it’s most wanted terrorists in the world Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed by a CIA drone attacked in Kabul Yesterday. He was born to a politically influential family in Cairo and got degrees in medicine and surgery before joining the Egyptian Islamic Jihad in 1979.
He masterminded the Sept 11, 2001 attacks on USA and indicted in absentia for 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania killed over 224 people. Osama Bin Laden’s No. 2 took over Al Qaeda after his death and the FBI listed a $25 million reward for his information.
“People around the world no longer need to fear the vicious and determined killer. The United States continues to demonstrate our resolve and our capacity to defend the American people against those who seek to do us harm,” U.S. President Joe Biden said from the Blue Room Balcony of the White House.
