With just one week left in the federal election campaign, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is surging toward the finish line with a powerful message: real change is within reach, and he is the only leader with the courage and plan to deliver it.  For months, Poilievre has dominated the political conversation by speaking directly to Canadians struggling under the weight of skyrocketing housing costs, punishing inflation, and a federal government that has lost touch with everyday people. His relentless focus on common-sense solutions has energized conservatives and attracted new supporters, especially young Canadians desperate for hope in an unaffordable housing market.

A Clear Contrast: Poilievre’s Change vs. More Liberal Failures

While the Liberals scramble to rebrand under Mark Carney, Poilievre has remained steadfast in his mission to end the waste, cut taxes, and restore opportunity  for all Canadians. His bold pledge to build 2.3 million homes in five years is exactly the kind of decisive action needed to tackle the housing crisis, a crisis the Liberals ignored for years.

Unlike Carney, who represents more of the same Trudeau-era policies, Poilievre offers a fresh, conservative vision for Canada:

  • Axe the carbon tax to lower gas and grocery bills
  • Cut wasteful spending by eliminating bloated consultant contracts
  • Scrap the failed gun buyback program and focus on real crime reduction
  • Keep money in Canadians’ pockets by lowering taxes

The Liberals’ Desperate Attacks Show Their Weakness

Fearing Poilievre’s momentum, the Liberals have resorted to misleading claims about “$140 billion in cuts”a baseless scare tactic. The truth? Poilievre’s plan is about smarter spending, not slashing essential services. He has promised to protect dental care and pharmacare while ensuring taxpayer money isn’t wasted on corporate handouts and foreign aid boondoggles.  Meanwhile, Carney’s so-called “fully-costed” platform is just Trudeau’s old playbook with a new face: more deficits, more taxes, and more empty promises. After 10 years of Liberal failures Canadians know better than to trust another recycled leader.

The Choice Is Clear: Change vs. Decline

This election comes down to one question: Do Canadians want more of the same, or do they want real change? Poilievre has the energy, the ideas, and the determination to fix what’s broken in Ottawa. He speaks for hardworking taxpayers, not elite insiders. He understands that Canada’s best days are ahead but only if we make the right choice on April 28.

With the race tightening, every vote matters. If you believe in:

  • Affordable homes for families
  • Lower taxes and less government waste
  • A stronger economy with real paychecks that buy groceries and gas
  • Safe streets with real consequences for criminals

…then Pierre Poilievre is your only choice.

It’s time for change. It’s time for Poilievre. Vote Conservative on April 28.

Poilievre’s Final Push for Change as Election Nears

With just one week left in the federal election campaign, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is making his closing argument to Canadians: this election is about change, and he is the only leader who can deliver it.  From the beginning, Poilievre has framed his campaign around the promise of a dramatic shift from nearly a decade of Liberal governance. But as the race tightens, his message faces new challenges: rising anxiety over U.S. trade policies under Donald Trump, a resurgent Liberal campaign under new leader Mark Carney, and voter fatigue that has shifted the political landscape.

The “Change” Message in the Home Stretch

At a housing announcement in Scarborough on Monday, Poilievre hammered home his central theme, using the word change nearly 20 times in his speech. “Our purpose, of course, is to bring change,” he declared, standing before a podium emblazoned with the same word.  Housing affordability has been a cornerstone of Poilievre’s appeal, particularly to younger voters struggling in expensive markets like Toronto and Vancouver. His pledge to build 2.3 million homes in five years helped propel the Conservatives to an early lead one that has since narrowed, with recent polls showing a dead heat between the Tories and Liberals.

Battling for Key Demographics

One critical voting bloc slipping from Poilievre’s grasp is seniors, who appear to be shifting toward the Liberals. In a bid to win them back, he addressed the Canadian Association of Retired Persons on Tuesday, emphasizing cost-of-living relief and attacking Liberal spending.  But his biggest hurdle may be credibility on fiscal policy. Poilievre has yet to release a fully costed platform, a fact the Liberals have seized on. Prime Minister Mark Carney, campaigning in Charlottetown, mocked Poilievre for “hiding” his plan while boasting of the Liberals’ “detailed, fully-costed” commitments.

The Conservatives insist their platform, set for release Tuesday, will “cut waste, axe taxes, and unleash home building” without slashing social programs like dental and pharmacare programs the Liberals accuse Poilievre of targeting. Instead, he promises to fund his pledges by:

  • Cutting $10 billion in government consulting costs
  • Scrapping the federal gun buyback program
  • Reducing foreign aid and corporate subsidies

The Trust Battle

The Liberals claim Poilievre’s promises would require $140 billion in cuts, a charge he dismisses as “Liberal math.” He fires back by pointing to a decade of Liberal deficit failures, arguing Carney’s platform is just “more of the same” big-spending policies that defined Justin Trudeau’s tenure.  With early voting already underway, Poilievre’s final task is clear: convince Canadians that change is still possible and that he’s the one to make it happen. The next seven days will determine whether his message resonates or if voters opt for continuity under Carney’s Liberals.

As April 28 approaches, one question looms largest: Will Canada choose change, or stick with the known?
